Mags-nificent Miniatures: Miniature food and accessories
A little bit of background....
Mags began to make miniature food when, with a couple of other members, she started the Watford Miniaturist Club, in Watford, Hertfordshire. Mags served as Chair for several years until taking early retirement and moving to Northamptonshire.

Mags and husband Dave now have much more time to spend producing quality miniature food, filled furniture, printables and many other dolls house accessories.

Often seen exhibiting at fairs, Mags-nificent Miniatures display all items by ‘period’, 90% of which are hand crafted. Period food specialist

The most popular periods are Tudor and WW2 and these are their ‘speciality’ ranges. Also available: Georgian, Victorian, 1950s and Modern items.
A new range of 1/24th scale food is being produced for Spring 2008. Mags writes regularly for Dolls House magazines, runs workshops and gives talks at W.I and other meetings.

Thame Fair supporting the Breast Cancer Campaign

Hello everyone, Now Christmas is out of the way we thought we'd remind you about the Thame Fair on 20th February, 2010.As many of you already know, AIM will yet again have its own exhibition table at the forthcoming Thame Dollshouse & Miniatures Show which is organised by AIM member Celia Thomas.

This will be a very exciting opportunity to raise the profile of both AIM and in turn that of all of its members. The Thame show is both exceedingly well respected and well attended by visitors; it is also a charity event, which raises money for the Breast Cancer Campaign.

The AIM stand will be solely for the purpose of displaying member's work and also to promote the AIM association to both visitors and to professional artisans whom are not already members. On the AIM stand, we plan to have a collection of miniatures made by members and also photographs depicting the work of our international members or those UK members whom are not attending the event in person.

Please click on the link below to find out more about the show.

Victorian Calling Cards - 1:12 Scale

by Viola Williams -

It was common for Victorian ladies (and perhaps gentlemen as well) to announce visits and to acknowledge visits. This little box of cards could be carried by a dollhouse lady, or could be put on a piece of dollhouse furniture (perhaps a hall table or in the lady's bedroom) or even in a Lady's Shop offering them for sale. (Box cover styles vary.) If the auction has ended, these can be seen on my website in the "Accessories" section.
